Japan	Q3 2026	LANL	Trip to support Fukushima Fuel Debris Collaboration	DOE-NCSP has setup a collaboration with Japan to aid in criticality monitoring for Fukushima fuel debris removal. This is a joint project with LANL, ASNR, and relevant organizations in Japan (TEPCO, METI, etc.). LANL expertise with the MC-15 from NCSP subcritical benchmarks and underwater measurements at the RPI reactor (another ASNR collaboration) are very relevant to the challenge.
